Pattern Palooza!

It’s time to bring the pattern conversation full circle!  Some patterns I can’t leave unmentioned…

Chevron – has really jumped up on the charts lately.  Chevron is a very trendy pattern, and adds a little “edge” to the traditional stripe pattern.  [notice the ikat pillows in the first pic!]

Plaid – oh, boy – makes me think of a warm flannel shirt.  [Al Borland anyone?]  I gotta admit, plaid is pretty touch-and-go for me.  But, I feel it is such a strong pattern staple, it shouldn’t be forgotten! And check out the gorgeous impact it has in these spaces…

Moroccan-inspired – these patterns have also really been popping up lately.  From tile-inspired patterns, to quatrefoil-like patterns: Moroccan-inspired patterns are definitely hitting their stride.

Polka-dots – can polka dots be cool?  Absolutely!  I prefer polka dots on a smaller scale.  I think it makes the pattern more dainty and feminine.

Stay tuned!  I’ll wrap up the pattern conversation with some simple tips on how to combine patterns! -Rachel
